How To Pay The U.S. Immigration Fee

Now, about that Immigrant Fee to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). In almost all cases, the $220 fee must be paid online:

Note that you are going to need the information from the documents you should already have received from your home country’s U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate, including your Alien Registration Number (starts with the letter “A” followed by 8 or 9 numbers) and your DOS Case ID (starts with 3 letters followed by 9 or 10 numbers).

Payment can be made by credit card or debit card or from a valid U.S. bank account. (Family members can make this payment on behalf of the person getting his or her Green Card.)
