If you are a business required to collect sales taxes in the State of Ohio, there are several options to pay depending on where exactly you conduct business within the state. Here they are:
- Online: Any business in Ohio can file online through the Ohio Business Gateway at https://ohiobusinessgateway.ohio.gov/OBG/Membership/Security.mvc/Login#MainContainer. Once you are logged in, you will look for the UST-1 form to complete. Payment can then be made from your company’s bank account or by credit card (there is an additional fee for credit card payments).
- By phone: If you only collect sales tax from within a single county and have a vendor’s license from that county, you can file and pay using the TeleFile system. The phone number to call is 800-697-0440. You can pay by company bank account or by credit card (additional fee for credit card payments).
You can NOT file Ohio sales tax forms by mail.
